Okay, so the new Kings of Convenience singles (the album’s been out for three days and I don’t have it yet, boo hoo, i miss having a disposable CD buying income, boo hoo…) are so good.
This one, so good. “Mrs. Cold”Gah, Erlend.
“You shoulda hooked me, before I put my raincoat on!”
so catchy.
I have to say, this is some major growth since their first album. Remember these lyrics?
“Failure is always the best way to learn.”
or
“Even though I’ll never need her, / even though she’s only giving me pain, / I’ll be on my knees to feed her / spend a day to make her smile again”
On my knees to feed her?! Get up off the floor, dude! That’s not only beyond corny, you just rhymed “her” with “her”.
Ey, John! Mess with norwegians and I’ll mess with you!
(…I do agree, though)
